We are a septic inspection company owned and operated by two first responders, accordingly, the inspiration for the name 1st Alert.

 

Involved in multiple facets of the emergency services since the age of 17, helping others is part of who we are and what we aim to do. We want to provide our customers with comprehensive reports that will better advise on the condition of a property's septic system. 

 

New Jersey does not require any type of certification to perform septic inspections. Guidelines have been published by the NJ Department of Environmental Protection (NJ DEP), but unlike a home inspector or real estate agent, New Jersey does not require a practical or written exam, to prove knowledge of septic inspections.

 

We went above and beyond and became certified by the Pennsylvania Septage Management Association (PSMA), which is the same organization that helped the NJ DEP create their guidelines and regulations. Guided by PSMA training and inspection criteria, 1st Alert Septic Inspections will provide accurate and consistent reports for our customers.
